Morning Prayer: Wed, 16 Nov – Psalm 133:1-2; Numbers 24:5-6; Luke 12:22, 29-31 ~ Kingdom first

+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Opening Sentence

I call all heaven to witness today that I have put on Christ.
I choose no other Lord than the Maker of heaven and earth.
This day I walk with Him and He will walk with me.

Reading: Psalm 133:1-2 (NLT)

How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.

Reading: Numbers 24:5-6 (NLT)

How beautiful are your tents, O Jacob; how lovely are your homes, O Israel!

They spread before me like palm groves, like gardens by the riverside. They are like tall trees planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters.

Reading: Luke 12:22, 29-31 (NLT)

Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear.

“And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.

My Prayer:

Heavenly Father: You have made Your people one in Christ. Heal the divisions among us, that we may live and work in harmony with one another.

+ Give us one mind in Christ.
+ Give us one purpose in Christ.
+ Give us one identity in Christ.
+ Give us one witness in Christ.

King Jesus: You have given us full citizenship in the Kingdom of God through faith and baptism. Show us how to live each day as Kingdom citizens, with all our rights and responsibilities.

+ May we show and tell others the Good News of the Kingdom.
+ May we heal the sick and set free the captives in the name of the King.
+ May we love and serve others as we would serve the King.
+ May we set aside or fears and anxieties in pursuit of the King.

+ Empowering Spirit: Fill us to overflowing that we may become living and holy sacrifices – falling at the feet of our King, in worship and praise. Amen.

May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ go with you, wherever He may send you. May He guide you through the wilderness, protect you through the storm. May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you. May He bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.

+ In the name of the Protecting Father, in the name of the Conquering Son, and in the name of the Liberating Spirit. Amen!
