RE: The Peanut Gallery

After 10 years of publication (and a lot of water over the dam) the focus of this blog has narrowed to become my version of daily worship and prayer centering around a Bible reading plan. The discipline of daily publication helps me stay focused on God’s unchanging Word in our ever-changing world.

It is eclectic, i.e., it draws from a wide variety of resources generally available on the internet. And, in searching for multi-media that complement the daily reading, I have discovered the wonder of God’s work in the world and the amazing creativity of God’s people in every tribe and nation. In general, the perspective is Evangelical, Reformed, Liturgical, and Charismatic, drawing on sources ancient and modern.

I hope that God will bless you in the reading, as he has blessed me in the writing.

  1. Art and Barbara, so good to know where you are and how you all are doing since leaving the national covenant group. The group continues and even meeting by zoom, it is meaningful. These are very long friendships at this point. You’ve always been missed. Sending best wishes and every blessing to you and yours.

  2. Art- I love that you are doing this. You and Barb have often been on my mind in recent years but somehow I had lost your contact info and wasn’t able to find you via the various social media suspects. Finally, I sent out an inquiry to the old national covenant group andRick Carter shared this link with me, even though I have only been on their list as an emeritus member for years. I would love to connect and get an update on you and Barbara via phone or Zoom sometime soon. Shoot me a not with your contact info and let’s schedule a call.

  3. I live in Jacksonville FL as well. I am a 66 year old blogger who also writes articles, poetry and stories. I found your site because I have written a poem called, I Made You and I was looking for a picture depicting God creating man in His hands. The picture I found was on your site. I was wondering if you would allow me to use this picture on my site and if so, I would be more than happy to credit you as the owner of it. If it copyrighted by someone else, do you mind giving me the contact info of that person so that I can contact them to see if they will allow me to use it? My email is lottjs12@gmail.com.
    Thank you for your consideraton

    1. You are welcome to use anything that you find on the site. However, some of it may be under copyright by the originators. I often include appropriate links, but not always. God bless.
