Morning Prayer: Thu, 17 Nov – Psalm 71:5-8; Proverbs 3:5-7; Colossians 3:17 ~ representatives of the Lord Jesus

+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Opening Sentence

I call all heaven to witness today that I have put on Christ.
I choose no other Lord than the Maker of heaven and earth.
This day I walk with Him and He will walk with me.

Reading: Psalm 71:5-8 (NLT)

O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood. Yes, you have been with me from birth; from my mother’s womb you have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising you!

My life is an example to many, because you have been my strength and protection. That is why I can never stop praising you; I declare your glory all day long.

Reading: Proverbs 3:5-7 (NLT)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

Reading: Colossians 3:17 (NLT)

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

My Prayer:

Heavenly Father: You have been my strength and my protection, even before I was born.

+ You alone have been, and still are, my only hope.
+ When I trusted You, I walked uprightly along the path of life.
+ When I went my own way, I stumbled along the path of sin and death.
+ Thank You for staying with me through it all, and adopting me into Your family.

Lord Jesus: You are the embodiment of right living – the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

+ I pray for wisdom and understanding, grounded in Your Word and enlightened by Your Spirit.
+ I pray for whole-hearted trust in Your Word, even when it conflicts with my perceived self-interest.
+ I pray for a willingness to seek Your will, and to follow You as You lead.
+ I pray for genuine humility before You, no matter how much I think I know.

Holy Spirit: Live in and through me, that I may put on Christ and walk with Him today.

+ Christ in me, Christ under me, Christ above me.
+ Christ beside me – on my left and my right.
+ Christ before me, Christ behind me.
+ Christ in the heart of everyone to whom I speak.
+ Christ on the lips of everyone who speaks to me.

This day, be within and without me, lowly and meek, yet all powerful. Amen.

“Show Me The Way” – Ambassodors of Christ Choir (Rwanda)

May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ go with you, wherever He may send you. May He guide you through the wilderness, protect you through the storm. May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you. May He bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.

+ In the name of the Protecting Father, in the name of the Conquering Son, and in the name of the Liberating Spirit. Amen!
