Prayer: (A Prayer for Trusting in God’s Unfailing Love – Scotty Smith, TGC) – adapted

Lord Jesus: In these troubled times, truth be told, we have come to the end of ourselves.

+ All of our resources and strength, all of our life experiences and smarts are simply not enough.
+ Whatever worked in the past is not working in the present moment.
+ We are feeling the confusion of not knowing what to do next.
+ We are feeling the helplessness of being out of control.

Lord Jesus:  We need you; we abandon ourselves to You today. You are our resurrected Lord; You defeated sin and death; You are making all things new. We place our hope in Your unfailing love.

+ There is no other supply sufficient to the need.
+ There is no other strength sufficient for the task.
+ There is no other balm sufficient for the pain.
+ There is no other rest sufficient for the exhaustion.
+ There is no other hope sufficient for the multiple issues in front of us.

Lord Jesus: We bring it all to You – trusting in Your unfailing love.

+ We bring our broken, conflicted and wandering hearts to you.
+ We bring our struggling marriages to you.
+ We bring our divided churches to you.
+ We bring our hurting friends to you.
+ We bring our wayward children to you.
+ We bring our unbelieving neighbors to you.
+ We bring our corrupted country to you.
+ We bring our war-torn, chaotic world to you.

Lord Jesus: Astonish us by bringing much glory to yourself. We pray, in your merciful and mighty name.

“Your Love Lifted Me” – Ashmont Hill

Glory, Glory to God, In the Highest, Glory, Glory to God… | When nothing else could help, You came and rescued me

Your love lifted me, Your love lifted me, Your love lifted me, I am free to sing of Your love…

Higher, Higher, Higher than heaven | Deeper, Deeper, Deeper than oceans | Greater, Greater, Greater than mountains | Your love

May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ go with you, wherever He may send you. May He guide you through the wilderness, protect you through the storm. May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you. May He bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.

+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
