Praying the Psalms
+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
Opening – (Northumbria Community)
One thing I have asked of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life; to behold the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ, King of endless glory.
Morning Reading: Psalm 123 (NLT) – A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem.
We keep looking to the Lord our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.
Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy, for we have had our fill of contempt. We have had more than our fill of the scoffing of the proud and the contempt of the arrogant.
O Lord our God: We look to you in our times of trouble; have mercy on us –
+ for you judge the earth in righteousness and truth…
+ for you are the hope of the downtrodden and oppressed…
+ for you are the refuge of the suffering and afflicted…
+ for you are the redeemer of our sin-sick souls…
+ for you are the giver of life, satisfying and eternal…
O Lord our God: We look to you in our times of trouble; have mercy on us, and be gracious to us – through your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives in unity with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.

Blessing – (Northumbrian Community)
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you, wherever He may send you. May He guide you through the wilderness, and protect you through the storm. May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you. May He bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.
+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
