One thing I have asked of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life; to behold the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.

Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ, King of endless glory.

Morning Reading: Psalm 130 (NLT) – A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem.

From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.

Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.

I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.

O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows. He himself will redeem Israel from every kind of sin.

O Lord our God: Hear our cries for help, and have mercy on us, as we wait patiently for your return –

+ for you alone are trustworthy…
+ for you alone are loving and kind…
+ for you alone provide forgiveness of sin…
+ for you alone provide escape from temptation…
+ for you alone provide deliverance from evil…

O Lord our God: Here our cries for help, and have mercy on us, as we wait patiently for your return – with freedom, and justice for all – through Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you in unity with the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
