Morning Reading: 2 Peter 1:10-11 (NLT)

So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Christ became man to make us sons and daughters of God and he intercedes for us before God our Father. Thank you, Lord, for your loving mercy – open to us the treasures of your love.

+ Enlighten us through your Word and Spirit – we consecrate our day to you.

+ Fill us with thanksgiving and praise – that we may take your Word with us wherever we may go.

+ Teach us to respond faithfully to your Word – that your Word may bear good fruit in us.

+ Give us courage when things go wrong –

  • strengthen us with faith in you,
  • with hope in your promises and
  • with love of your will.

God our Father, you have called and chosen us to be among your children. Open to us the treasures of your love that we may serve you with energy, intelligence, imagination and love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

“The Stand” – Hillsong

Blessing

Christ with me, Christ in me.

Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left; Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down; Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me; Christ in the eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me.

Christ with me, Christ in me.

+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
