Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness, and was tempted as we are, yet without sin: give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit; and, as you know our weakness, so may we know your power to save; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect…. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father: you are my God and I am your child – you love me, you are with me, and you always want the best for me.

+ Make me strong as I face the challenges of the day.
+ Take my hand and guide me throughout the day.
+ Hold me up and keep me standing firm throughout the day
+ Expel any fear and anxiety I may have with your perfect love for me.

Heavenly Father: No matter what I face today, I will look to you for deliverance and abide in your loving presence. Through my Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

Morning Prayer

Blessed be our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our bread from heaven. Lord, strengthen us.

+ We have sinned, Lord, against you have we sinned; take away our guilt by your saving grace.
+ Give us a share in the bread of the life; fill us with the blessings of your paschal sacrifice.
+ Implant your word of life in our hearts; yield a harvest in us through faith and obedience.
+ Make us eager to fulfill your plan for the world; send us out with the great message of peace.

Look with favor on your family, Lord, during this Lenten season of self-restraint; may our hearts burn with love of you. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Make us eager to fulfil Your plan for the world that we may spread the great message of peace. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
