FBI terrorism task force to question national director of crisis pregnancy center – Liberty Unyielding – Re-Blog

The FBI’s office that deals with terrorism says it wants to question Chris Slattery, national director of Expectant Mother Care Front Line Pregnancy Centers, a chain of pro-life crisis pregnancy centers, Life Site News reported Wednesday.

According to agents, the FBI says it wants to meet with Slattery “for a mutually beneficial relationship.

“In other words, if I don’t meet with them, it will not be beneficial for me,” Slattery said. “I’m not sure what I’m going to get out of it,” he joked.

“The development is the latest in what pro-life activists have charged is a pattern of intimidation on the part of the Obama administration against pro-life activists,” Ben Johnson reported.

But, Jason Howerton wrote at The Blaze, “why is the FBI office tasked with investigating domestic terrorism spending its time demanding a meeting with the director of a pro-life organization?”

The answer is unclear, but Johnson said that “New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has subpoenaed the group for not abiding by the standards of a consent agreement Slattery believed expired more than 20 years ago, as well as in relation to a question of some of its paperwork.”

Agents wanted to meet with Slattery last Friday, but rescheduled when he insisted one of his attorneys be present. Continue reading “FBI terrorism task force to question national director of crisis pregnancy center – Re-Blog”

Morning Reading: Luke 7:36-50 NLT – much love

Reading: Luke 7:36-50 NLT

One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!”

Then Jesus answered his thoughts. “Simon,” he said to the Pharisee, “I have something to say to you.”

“Go ahead, Teacher,” Simon replied.

Then Jesus told him this story: “A man loaned money to two people—500 pieces of silver to one and 50 pieces to the other. But neither of them could repay him, so he kindly forgave them both, canceling their debts. Who do you suppose loved him more after that?”

Simon answered, “I suppose the one for whom he canceled the larger debt.”

“That’s right,” Jesus said. Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume.

“I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.”

The men at the table said among themselves, “Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?”

And Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Prayer: Lord Jesus – Thank you for loving us without reservation or conditions… no matter who we are, or what we have done. Thank you for your forgiveness purchased at great price on the Cross. Fill us with a spirit of boundless love and gratitude to live as people who have been forgiven and set free. Amen.

Avengers 4 Life in DC – Official Video – “Where’s Arturo?”

Peanut Gallery: The large presence of young people at the 2013 March for Life was most heartening. The numbers of Pro-Life young people are increasing while the old guard,  radical, pro-death feminists are fading into the sunset as their numbers decline. The demographics are with the Pro-Life movement.

Biltrix described this Pro-life Generation in a recent post. And Students for Life were everywhere. Check out their web sites to see what they’re doing to reach young people for Life.

As part of that youth movement, RC Mission Corps Volunteers made their missionary presence known with Avengers 4 Life.” Here’s a picture I took of them along the March on the way to the Supreme Court.

Let’s roll.

The funny thing is – they took a picture of me taking a picture of them in their official video. What are the chances of that happening with 650,000 marchers?

So, here’s the challenge – “Where’s Arturo?” – that’s me. Can you find me in their video? If you take the time… and find me – click like. Trust me, I’m there… and the video is well worth watching all by itself.

Silent No More: “I regret my abortion”

image

Peanut Gallery: At this year’s March for Life , women holding signs saying “I regret my abortion” were most courageous. These were women who had received post abortion help and healing through the good work of Silent No More Awareness.

Why is this ministry important? Because half of our country (USA) has been involved with abortion, in one way or another, and now they are living with the effects.

Many women and men are realizing the abortions they were involved in years ago are the source of the physical and emotional problems they have today….

Women: the feelings of guilt, anger, shame and worthlessness; their struggle with suicidal thoughts, drug/alcohol addiction to numb the pain, eating disorders or depression.

Men: the feelings pain, guilt, and anger.

How many Americans have been involved with abortion?

You do the math: 55 million abortions x 2 parents + at least one friend or family member who encouraged them to go ahead with it. Add it up… that’s 165 million Amercans… half the country in denial or depression of one sort or another… all because of abortion.

No wonder our country is in the mess it’s in.

So who are the Silent No More folks? Click on the link. They are there to help you… and they understand what you’ve been going through.
