“Bailout” – Fleecing the Middle Class

Peanut Gallery: This book reinforces what we already know – politicians serve their Masters, i.e. the big money people who finance their consultant-driven campaigns.

However, “Bailout” – by Neil Barofsky – details how badly ordinary Americans are being used and abused by Washington politicians and bureaucracies. No one is looking out for the American taxpayer. Barofsky suggests a break-up of the big banks.

Here’s my idea to reform Washington – Fire every Government employee who was hired over the last four years and disband every newly formed agency. If anyone notices, let disbanded agencies and fired employees re-apply and justify their existence.

Peanut Gallery: In 2008, anyone who drew attention to Barack Obama’s radical roots and associations was ignored and considered a right-wing whacko. Well, the “chickens did come home to roost” and the whackos were proven right. America elected a Trojan Horse for the secular radical left.

So here we are in 2012. Is Stanley Kurtz just another radical right-wing whacko to be ignored? You be the judge – read Radosh’s review and then decide if it’s worth reading the book.

If Kurtz is right in his assessment… the “con” of the middle class is on and America – as we know it – is in serious trouble.

If someone was to say that these people want nothing less than to destroy suburbs in America, you might think that this sounds too crazy to be any kind of real possibility. Yet this is their goal and their hope, motivated by the belief that the growth of the suburbs was not a result of the desire to spread out and lead a good life by people who wanted to realize the American dream, but instead was fueled by racism, greed, and a desire to benefit from exploiting poor minorities. Those making such arguments occupy what is called a “regionalist” movement, and they hope to attain their goal through programs like regional tax base sharing in which money previously held by suburban communities for the benefit of those who live in them will be taken and redistributed to nearby cities and poorer suburbs.

July 30, 2012 – When Chick-fil-A’s Dan Cathy affirmed his stance on the sanctity of traditional marriage, advocates of same-sex marriage loudly voiced their opposition. Now both Billy Graham and Franklin Graham have issued statements expressing support for the Cathy family’s values, as well as urging people to visit Chick-fil-A on Aug. 1.

It seems that a group of mischievous cows with poor spelling skills—or a lowly chicken, depending on your preferred logo—has become the latest symbol of America’s cultural divide.

When Dan Cathy, president and chief operating officer of Chick-fil-A, affirmed his stance on the sanctity of traditional marriage, same-sex marriage advocates loudly voiced their opposition and called for Americans to boycott the restaurant.

Days later, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee responded by calling for a National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on Wednesday, Aug. 1, an action supported by both Billy Graham and Franklin Graham.

In a statement issued July 26, Billy Graham said he supported his “good friends Truett Cathy and his son Dan Cathy, and their strong stand for the Christian faith.

In Archbishop Charles Chaput’s keynote address at the Napa Institute he answered a question from a friend of his who wondered if the religious freedom debate had “crossed a Rubicon” in our country’s political life.

In 49 B.C., when Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon with his 13th Legion and marched on Rome, he triggered a civil war and changed the course of history.
