A Season of Thanksgiving
Morning Prayer
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening sentence
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.

Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow….
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.

When I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law — I stopped trying to meet all its requirements — so that I might live for God. My old self has been crucified with Christ. You continue to work in Your faithful people: create through us a new world where injustice and destruction will give way to growth, freedom and hope.
