Lord Jesus Christ: Thank you for all you have given me; bless me and lead me through the day.

+ You are gentle and humble of heart: teach me to receive others as you did.
+ You are the light of the world; fill me with your light and life.
+ You are compassionate and kind: fill me with your mercy for the sick and troubled.
+ You were tempted in all things, yet did not sin; lead me in your righteousness.

Almighty, ever-living God, hear my prayer: dispel from my heart the darkness of sin, and draw me to the true light, Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.
