Morning Prayer: Fri, 03 Mar – Psalm 25; Matthew 25:14-18 ~ invest yourself

Friday after Ash Wednesday

+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Opening Sentences

O God, come to our aid. O Lord, make haste to help us. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Reading: Psalm 25 (NLT)

O Lord, I give my life to you. I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.

No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.

Reading: Matthew 25:14-18 (NLT)

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip.

“The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master’s money.

Lord God: you have made me your servant; you have given me gifts, abilities and experience; and you have given me the responsibility to make the most of it all until you return.

+ Show me where you want me to invest myself in this season of my life.
+ Open up new possibilities for me that I have never considered before.
+ Give me wisdom and sound judgement in the decisions I make going forward.
+ Lead me out of my comfort zone into new opportunities for Kingdom service.

Lord God: I give my life to you; I trust in you. Through Jesus Christ, your Son and my Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

“Trust In You” – Lauren Daigle

The Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life.
