Merciful God, I pray that your grace may be upon me. Give me wisdom, strength, and confidence to face impossible circumstances. Let your will be done. I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Heavenly Father, I give thanks for our government. I pray for all men and women having authority over us in any way. Pour out Your Spirit upon them and make Your Word known to them.
Cause them to be men and women of integrity, obedient concerning us, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty. Let wisdom enter their hearts, and let knowledge be pleasant to them. Let discretion preserve them and understanding keep them, to deliver them from the way of evil and from evil men. Make their hearts and ears attentive to godly counsel, doing what is right in your sight.
Through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Father, I pray that I might be open to hear Your voice. May I be eager to hear what You have to say to me through Your Word and Spirit. Lord, there are some things in Your Word that are difficult to hear—warnings about the need for purity and the need for deep repentance from sin. Let me be willing to hear those words and, through the power of the Holy Spirit at work in me, obey them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Gracious and merciful God, your loving-kindness is better than life itself. Thank you for redeeming my life from the pit and adopting me into your family. Please continue the good work you have already begun in me:
+ May your love overflow in me more and more.
+ May I continue to grow in knowledge and understanding.
+ May I order my life around those things that really matter to you.
+ May I live a pure and blameless life through the power of your Spirit at work in me.
+ May I always be filled with the righteous character produced in my life by Jesus Christ.
I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son and my Redeemer, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
Lord, help me to keep my pride in check. I want to be proud, first of all, of my relationship with You. Amen.
We give our lives today to you, Oh Father, just take control and guide us along the way. There are times we may think that we do not have the strength to defeat the enemy as he attacks us in our daily lives. Restore our courage and faith in you, Oh King of Heaven. Help us to be confident both in ourselves as well as in You, for we know we will mount up on wings like eagles and sore high with You on the throne.
“Lord, may all your enemies die like Sisera! But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!”
