19 Days of Prayer for America – reliability

+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

“But what do you think about this? A man with two sons told the older boy, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’ The son answered, ‘No, I won’t go,’ but later he changed his mind and went anyway. Then the father told the other son, ‘You go,’ and he said, ‘Yes, sir, I will.’ But he didn’t go.

Prayer: Reliability

Lord God: If ever there was a doubt before, it has certainly been made clear now – You alone are America’s last hope. You alone are reliable – the Promise-keeping God who is faithful to Your word.

+ Forgive the gullibility of Your people in America who have been tricked and manipulated into supporting politicians and policies that promise everything and deliver nothing.

In Jesus’ name, I say “Wake up America!”

+ Thank You, Lord, for revealing the lies, the deceit, and the hypocrisy that is endemic to our American government today – in every branch, from top to bottom.

+ Thank You, Lord, for revealing the manipulation of public perceptions by crooked politicians in bed with crooked media.

+ Thank You, Lord, for unmasking the evil presence of George Soros acting as a puppet master behind the scenes.

In Jesus’ name, I rebuke You, George Soros and your evil minions.

Lord God: In this presidential election, we have two choices – one who is quick to promise and never delivers; the other, who is late to the party, is listening and learning and promising to deliver.

+ Holy Spirit, enable Your people to discern which candidate will be the most reliable to actually deliver on his/her promises.

+ Holy Spirit, enable Your people to distinguish as to which candidate has the best track record for honesty and achievement.

Lord God: Historic American allies and friends have been trashed and our enemies have been rewarded by our current administration. Specifically, I pray for our relationship with Israel.

+ Lord Jesus, You have a special affinity for Israel – the land of Your incarnation, the land promised to the patriarchs, the land of Your promised return.

+ Lord Jesus, I ask that the next president of the United States will solidify America’s special relationship with Israel, and recognize Jerusalem as its capital.

Lord God: You alone are America’s last hope. You alone are reliable – the Promise-keeping God who is faithful to Your word. Come and rescue us from the lies and deceit of the evil one, and use this election to Your honor and glory.

+ In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit – one God forever. Amen.

Lord Jesus: In the upcoming presidential election, we are being asked to leave behind the certain corruption of the past for the uncertain promise of a better future. Give us the courage to move forward in faith towards a better future.

+ Deliver us from the evil of past administrations.
+ Call us, once again, to love You and follow You before all else.
+ Give us the boldness to walk with You into a new season of freedom.
+ And, raise up a brave citizenry – confident of Your presence with us.

Prayer: Stand up and Vote

Gracious God: Thank You for giving Your people in America the right to vote in the upcoming presidential election. I ask You for a massive voter turnout in support of religious freedom and traditional family life, and in opposition to the institutional corruption embedded in the government of our country.

+ Forgive Your people for sitting on the sidelines in previous elections. Sadly, we are complicit in creating our current dismal state of affairs through our inaction.

+ Forgive Your people for allowing the candidates’ personalities to obfuscate policy realities, sound judgement and common sense.

+ Forgive Your people for considering voting for a third-party candidate in a two-party system, when the reality is that only Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be elected.

+ Surround Donald Trump with wise counselors who will help him understand the issues that are important to You and Your people. Make him receptive to their counsel.

+ Expose Hillary Clinton’s counselors for who and what they are, and the chilling effect they will have on the free practice of religion in America.

Merciful God: You alone can turn America around, but this election will have a major impact on whether or not the country can regain its moral standing. Move Your people out of their homes and into their voting booths on November 8th. Give Your people another chance to Make America Good Again.

Raise up every faithful American citizen to vote in the upcoming presidential election for the candidate who will best preserve the freedom of the City from above – that Your power and glory may be displayed for the entire world to see.

Prayer: Reward Good and Restrain Evil

I’d like to ask Christians to pray for strong leadership for our country — and for our military, people who will put their oath to the Constitution above their careers. People who, when destructive policy is handed down, would lay their stars on the table and say, “This policy is destructive. It does not enhance readiness; it degrades readiness, and I will not be part of it.”

Merciful God:

America has been at war continuously for 15 years. We have been led by feckless administrations into global misadventures without the will or resources to win, while successive Congresses abdicate their Constitutional responsibilities.

Our military misadventures have created chaos in the Middle East that has invited global adventurism and the advancement of global evil.

+ Lord, have mercy on us.

We have abandoned the weak and unprotected Christians who are suffering the horrific effects of our foreign policy.

+ Lord, have mercy on us.

We have become unreliable friends of our closest allies and have rewarded our enemies and their evil proxies.

+ Lord, have mercy on us.

At a time when evil is advancing and our enemies are increasing in strength, our military forces no longer have the resources needed to restrain evil.

+ Lord, have mercy on us.

Religious liberty is under assault in our military and good people are leaving because they are unable to publicly live out their faith.

+ Lord, have mercy on us.

We are led by a commander-in-chief who has allowed his social agenda and political considerations to override all military, strategic and operational concerns.

+ Lord, have mercy on us.

Gracious God: I ask that our next president rethink our entire foreign policy and be intentional about America’s need for a strong defense. I ask that our next president rebuild our military capabilities at every level so that we may be agents of global peace through overwhelming military strength. And I ask that our war weary veterans and their families may receive the resources and support that they need while they serve on active duty and when they come home.

May our new government reward good and restrain evil – that freedom may be preserved, including the free exercise of religion and the proclamation of the Gospel.
