Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. – Psalm 90:12 –
Dear Friends and regular readers of The Peanut Gallery: you may have wondered why you have not received an early morning edition for the past 10 days or so. The reason is that I experienced a mini-stroke (TIA) prior to publishing on Tuesday, 27 Aug. By God’s grace and my wife’s quick action, paramedics rushed me to the hospital where I spent the following week undergoing a myriad of tests.
The bad news is that this episode has impaired my peripheral and spacial vision – making reading and writing laborious.
The good news is that these issues often resolve themselves over time with proper therapy and medication.
Nevertheless, this event was a warning – I need to make lifestyle changes including, diet, exercise, medications, and daily routines.
Re: The Peanut Gallery – It’s my intention to continue reading through the New Testament, following our somewhat irregular reading plan.. However, I need to set 11:00 am EST as my new daily publishing time, instead of 6:00 am as before. For those of you who receive each edition by email, you should receive it in your inbox by noon. EST.
Hopefully, the next edition will be published on 19 Sep and will continue with our reading of the Gospel of Matthew.
Thank you for your understanding and may God bless you.
Psalm 90 (A Thousand Years) – James Block
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you, wherever He may send you. May He guide you through the wilderness, and protect you through the storm. May He bring you home rejoicing at the wonders He has shown you. May He bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
