We were there for this ceremony a few years ago. My husband, my granddaughter and me. It’s an amazing sign of respect and devotion to our soldiers who died for our freedoms. It is indeed a day to thank them and show our respect.
There was a sign at the entrance of Arlington Cemetery. It requested speaking only in quiet, hushed voices. It was an important reminder of where we were.
