Shop “Christmas-friendly“ beginning at Wal-Mart

Peanut Gallery: Are you tired of the secular crowd stifling your Christmas joy… with a wimpy “happy holidays“ greeting? I am! So this list of Christmas-friendly stores is a welcome shopping guide.

Wouldn’t you know it… that “evil, wicked, mean, bad, and nasty“ Walmart heads the list of “nice“ stores. Check them out and give one of their “oldies” greeters a hearty “Merry Christmas“… and don’t forget the Salvation Army folks outside.

Wal-Mart is ‘Christmas-friendly’, GAP is not – The annual ‘Naughty or Nice’ list

WASHINGTON, November 27, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Wal-Mart, Belk, Lowe’s and Hobby Lobby top the list of ‘Christmas friendly’ stores put out by the American Family Association in it’s ‘Naughty or Nice List’ for 2012. Those in the ‘companies against Christmas’ list include GAP and Old Navy stores as well as Staples, Radio Shack and Foot Locker.

AFA’s “naughty” list singles out companies that avoid, ban, or use the term “Christmas” in their advertising.

AFA reviewed up to four areas to determine if a company was “Christmas-friendly” in their advertising: print media (newspaper inserts), broadcast media (radio/television), website and/or personal visits to the store. If a company’s ad has references to items associated with Christmas (trees, wreaths, lights, etc.), it was considered as an attempt to reach “Christmas” shoppers.

If a company has items associated with Christmas, but did not use the word “Christmas,” then the company is considered as censoring “Christmas.”

AFA’s list is regularly updated. To report on a company, send your detailed report to christmas@afa.net.

    1. I’m the guy with the hair… who actually watched “The Peanut Gallery” on the Howdy Doody Show on black and white TV. Long ago and far away.

      1. Howdy Doody Show oh my I had forgotten about that program. I grew up on a farm in Indiana way outside of town. It was 100 miles to the city which transmitted T.V. programs and most of the time we could not get that channel to come in. I never saw a color TV until I went into the Marines. WoW the memories you have dusted off! Thank-you and many many Blessings, James PS Yes the other one does look like me, I did enjoy the muppets!

  1. Haha I LOVED Howdy Doody! Princess SummerFallWinterSpring, Mr. Bluster. Oh, and Captain Video.
Thanks for this list. I was looking for one. The Tea Party Nation blog put out one that specified stores that donated mostly to Republicans and which to Dems. This list seems to agree with the Tea Party one. I believe in supporting that which is good.
