Pray for Christians in Mauritania

Persecution of Christians in Mauritania

Islam has been entrenched in the West African nation of Mauritania for 1000 years with little challenge. There is no church under local leadership, while the handful of indigenous believers who do exist (between 400 to 1,000) are extremely ignorant about the basic tenets of Christianity.

Pray for the North Korea Church

On April 15 all of North Korea will celebrate the “Day of the Sun” in honor of Kim Il-Sung’s 100th birthday.

Pray for the Central Asia Church

April 14-15 | Central Asia
Last spring several Christians were praying and fasting for a good harvest of cotton from their fields. Their prayers were answered as they had an abundant harvest which was a great encouragement for them. As they work in the fields, they also use the opportunity to share the
gospel with other people working in nearby fields. Please pray with them and ask God to encourage and bless them abundantly as many Christians often struggle to make ends meet.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. (1 Chronicles 4:10)

Pray for the Sri Lanka Church

April 11 | Sri Lanka — Due to a lack of financial resources, pastors and church workers are unable to purchase books that will help them become more effective and will keep them updated on recent developments in their ministries.

This year, Open Doors will carefully identify a set of books that will be useful to these graduates of Bible seminaries. Pray for this distribution project to create lasting impact in their lives.
