Who am I? I am one… who is loved by God.

Peanut Gallery: Who am I? It’s a basic life question which can only be answered in context of our relationship with the God… who made us… and knows us by name.

This link from Christianlifecoaching.co.uk provides us with a great start.

“Try reading the list [below] every day for a month, preferably out loud. The more you know who you are in Christ, the more your behaviour will reflect your true identity.”

Who I Am In Christ

Why do I need to know who I am in Christ?

  • You need to know who you are in Christ so that you can live a successful Christian life.
  • The more you agree with God about your identity in Christ, the more your behaviour will reflect your God given identity.
  • Learn to see yourself as God sees you. Accept what God says about you and become the spiritual person you are. God’s opinion is the one that counts.
  • Understanding who you are in Christ will give you a strong foundation to build your life on. Knowing who you are in Jesus is the key to a successful Christian life.
  • Your identity doesn’t depend on something you do or have done. Your true identity is who you are in Christ.
  • When you are in Christ you are a new creation, the old has passed away. It’s time to stop living out of who people say you are and take hold of the truth of God’s word.
  • You need to know who you are in Christ so that you can know what to do, when to do it, where to go, and how to do it.

Who I am in Christ

Because you are in Christ, every one of these statements is true of you. Continue reading “Who am I? I am one… who is loved by God.” →

Pray for the Sri Lanka Church

April 11 | Sri Lanka — Due to a lack of financial resources, pastors and church workers are unable to purchase books that will help them become more effective and will keep them updated on recent developments in their ministries.

This year, Open Doors will carefully identify a set of books that will be useful to these graduates of Bible seminaries. Pray for this distribution project to create lasting impact in their lives.

Morning Reading: John 21.18-19 NLT

“I tell you the truth, when you were young, you were able to do as you liked; you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and others will dress you and take you where you don’t want to go.” Jesus said this to let him know by what kind of death [Peter] would glorify God. Then Jesus told him, “Follow me.”

Hallelujah – Newsboys

Hallelujah Lyrics

I’m looking up
Holding out
Pressing forward
Without a doubt
Longing for the things unseen
Longing for the things I believe
My true country

We hope and wait
For the glorious day
All tears will vanish
Wiped away
On the saints this day already shines
On the saints this day already shines
It already shines

We’ll be singing hallelujah
We’ll be singing hallelujah
At the top of our lungs, halle-le-lujah
(With all our breath, halle-le-lujah)
To Your glory, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

And I know that it’s coming
But I can’t see it now
And I’ve touched it in moments
But I can’t hold it yet
And it glows in the darkness
And it calls us away
To our true destination
To that glorious day
